LS3P welcomes two new employees

WILMINGTON -- LS3P has hired Adam Heilbronn and Jonathan Pease to the firm’s Wilmington office.

Heilbronn earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the College of Architecture and Design at the University of Tennessee - Knoxville. Heilbronn brings previous professional experience in residential and commercial projects at firms in Savannah and Wilmington.

As a student, Heilbronn, an Eagle Scout, was very active in community outreach projects with Habitat for Humanity and Boy Scout affiliated projects. His contribution to projects such as riparian greenway benches, church renovations and a pre-school play structure retainment area helped instill his passion for design of the built environment.

Pease, a graduate of N.C. State University’s College of Design with both a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architecture, has a diverse portfolio of health care, commercial, senior living, K-12 and mixed use projects in the Wilmington area. He also brings extensive professional experience in graphic design, drafting, automotive repair and marine technology.

NRC names new resident inspector

BRUNSWICK COUNTY -- Nuclear Regulatory Commission officials in Atlanta have named Jeff Steward as the agency’s resident inspector at the Brunswick nuclear power plant.

Steward joined the NRC in March 2016 as a reactor engineer. Prior to joining the agency, he was an energy industry analyst at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Before that position, he was an NRC-licensed operator and certified license training instructor.

He began his career as a nuclear-trained submarine electrical operator in the U. S. Navy and continued to serve as a reservist in various units and assignments until 2009, retiring with 31 years of service.

Steward earned a bachelor’s degree in nuclear engineering technology from Thomas Edison State University and a master’s degree in management, leadership and organizational effectiveness from Troy University.
